Anar, or Pomegranate (Punica granatum), is a fruit-bearing deciduous shrub or small tree native to Iran and the Himalayas. It's grown commercially worldwide, including in the Mediterranean, Asia, and the United States. Pomegranates are known for their vibrant red fruit, which contains numerous edible seeds called arils.
